Pokemon Exhibition London takes place at Blackall Studios in March to celebrate the rebirth of Pokemon HeartGold and Pokemon SoulSilver for Nintendo DS. In partnership with Vice magazine, Nintendo has invited several artists to offer their take on the Japanese cartoon characters.
The main themes behind the Pokemon exhibition are the colours, characters and cult status of the cartoons, as they reinvent Pokemen in their own artistic vision. Recreating a brand new version of the cult characters such as the instantly recognisable bright yellow Pikachu, the exhibition has invited the artists to draw on their own personal experience of Japanese culture and gaming to help inspire them.
The Pokemon exhibition London event takes place from 10am - 6pm Thursday 25th March - Wednesday 31st March 2010 at Blackall Studios. Entrance is free.
